Directors and Staff

Tyler Holliday – Director of Bands

Mr. Holliday previously served as Director of Bands at the Berkeley Center for the Arts at Goose Creek High School, where he led the program through significant growth and sustained excellence. Under his leadership, the bands consistently earned Superior with Distinction ratings, achieved historic success at the SCBDA State Marching Championships, expanded their jazz program, and received numerous All-State, regional, and Outstanding Performance honors. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Winthrop University and is pursuing a Master of Music Education at University of North Carolina at Greensboro. An active clinician, adjudicator, and member of the SCBDA Marching Committee, Mr. Holliday is passionate about fostering excellence, leadership, and a strong sense of belonging within music programs.

Paul Guzewicz – Associate Band Director

Mr. Guzewicz received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music and studied conducting at Winthrop University.  He also holds a Masters of Education from Western Governors University.  During his time in the Rock Hill School District, Mr. Guzewicz has served on staff for the Rock Hill High School Band of Distinction in a variety of roles since 2009.  Mr. Guzewicz is active in a variety of roles with BOA, WGI, CWEA, and the SCBDA where he serves as the All-State Chair. He holds professional memberships with NAfME, NBA, SCBDA, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Mr. Guzewicz’s hobbies include golf and scuba diving.
